<p>Behavior Specialist JobID: 973</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Special Education/Behavioral Therapist</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/10/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Adminstration Building</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>09/01/2025</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>08/31/2025</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in psychology or related field </li><li>Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services</p> <p>JOB GOAL:</p> <ul> <li>To enable students with disabilities to access their education and learn appropriate social behaviors </li><li>To facilitate the development of increased competencies of staff and parents related to behavior management </li></ul> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Serves as consultant to teachers and school staff concerning behavior </li><li>Observes students during school activities and/or in the home </li><li>Conducts functional behavioral assessments and submits written reports </li><li>Designs positive behavioral intervention plans </li><li>Creates data sheets for documentation of student progress </li><li>Provides trainings and consultation to teachers and parents regarding the implementation of behavior intervention plans </li><li>Maintains appropriate follow-up communication with staff regarding specific student performance </li><li>Collates data for summaries in verbal or graph form for presentation at progress review meetings </li><li>Works collaboratively with Child Study Team and participates in IEP meetings </li><li>Attends conferences and participates in professional development activities to stay abreast of current research based practices and interventions for behaviorally disordered children </li><li>Performs other tasks and/or assumes other responsibilities as directed by the Director of Special Services </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Ten month school calendar</p> <p>EVALUATION:</p> <p>Performance will be evaluated in accordance with state and board regulations/policies by the Director of Special Services.</p>
