<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>Negotiates, drafts and advises Real Estate Development Team on all types of commercial leases, purchase agreements and related documents. Monitors the closing process and project scheduling of the development process and actively participates in resolving real estate legal issues. Contributes to overall sales objectives by enhancing and facilitating the opening of new stores in a manner consistent with corporate plan.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>75% Negotiate, draft and advise management regarding all types of real estate contracts and related legal issues involving commercial purchases and leases, including but not limited to taking ownership of the contract drafting and negotiation process from site approval through store opening. </li><li>15% Coordinate and assist Escrow Specialist to address due diligence, title issues, and assure integrity of closing process. </li><li>5% Address all land use matters in support of Property Management, Excess Property Department and Permitting Department. </li><li>5% Stay abreast of current developments in Commercial Real Estate Law and assist in revising company policies, practices and forms. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Doctorate degree (Ph.D., Ed D, JD). </li><li>5-7 years experience in law </li><li>Type of Experience: Commercial Real Estate and Contracts with retail emphasis </li><li>More than 4 years directly applicable experience </li></ul> <p>Benefits at AutoZone</p> <p>AutoZone cares about people.
