<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Associate will work with the Director of Front Office to assist with front office operations. Associate will work with the Director of Revenue Management to modify and build groups for sales and assist with rooming lists. This will also include synching inventory, group excess, group cutoffs and group projection assistance daily. The associate will assist with daily in-house reservations. Associate will assist in creating Links for individual call in groups and room balancing tasks. Associate provides central communications point for hotel operations through answering all incoming hotel phone calls in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <p>Front Desk</p> <ul> <li> <p>Phone Calls</p> </li><li> <p>Answering questions/directing the guest accordingly</p> </li><li> <p>Processing guest requests</p> </li><li> <p>Billing questions (authorizations, etc.)/editing as needed or notifying accounting for assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally checking people in and out at the front desk</p> </li><li> <p>Changing the dates of stay/updating arrival times</p> </li><li> <p>Assign rooms types/balance house, highlight VIP and Notable guests for amenities</p> </li><li> <p>EMPOWER Cases</p> </li><li> <p>Responding to Mobile Chats</p> </li><li> <p>Inputting and closing guest requests</p> </li><li> <p>Dispatching as needed to appropriate departments</p> </li><li> <p>Provide assistance/coverage to concierge to complete gift cards</p> </li><li> <p>Adding Amenities for group resumes, or other special occasions and coordinating with IRD</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting with Luggage when LP is not available</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to wok a flexible shift that includes: Days, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends. Plus, work Holidays as well, if needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Group Blocks & Reservations</p> </li><li> <p>Create both social and corporate groups</p> </li><li> <p>Add in reservations to groups for rooming list or when block is full</p> </li><li> <p>Create reservations for special rates (i.e. Complimentary Stays)</p> </li><li> <p>Create Reservations for Concierge Travel Advisors</p> </li><li> <p>Create and Provide Reservation Links</p> </li></ul> <p>Note: May be assigned other duties by supervisor or management</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>High school education or equivalent </li><li>Previous customer service experience in hospitality </li><li>Minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience, preferably in a four-star hotel preferred </li></ul> <p>SKILLS & ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent time management and organizational skills </li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong customer service focus </li><li>Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and math skills </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Ability to pay close attention to detail </li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills </li><li>Able to work overtime as needed </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time, reach, grasp, walk, hear, see, talk and perform repetitive motions </li><li>Ability to push, pull, carry, lift or otherwise move up to 10 lbs. </li></ul> <p>EEO and ADA Statements</p> <p>The Ballantyne is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to maintaining a diverse workforce and inclusive culture.
