This is an hourly position.</p> <p>Responsibilities/Essential Functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.</p> <ul> <li>Follow the instructions of the nursing supervisor </li><li>Be able to regularly re-evaluate the needs of patients </li><li>Completes assessments to determine level of care, if applicable </li><li>Ability to initiate plan of care and make changes as patient's level of care changes </li><li>Establish goals for patients based on diagnosis including input from patient and family </li><li>Report client/family complaints to agency </li><li>Administer medications and treatments when necessary, and as prescribed by a physician </li><li>Maintain client confidentiality/adheres to HIPAA requirements </li><li>Attend staff meetings, case conferences, team meetings, and educational in-services as required </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/ Educational Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state providing care </li><li>Reliable Transportation and valid auto insurance </li><li>PPD test required, or Chest x-ray if applicable </li><li>6 months homecare experience preferred </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
