<p>Zermatt Resort Utah is seeking an experienced individual to fill a Lead Server position at Z's Restaurant. The shift and availability expectation for this role is PM/ Evenings.</p> <p>Nestled in the majestic mountains of Midway, Utah, Zermatt Resort is the perfect, year-round getaway conveniently located between Park City and Sundance. Zermatt Resort & Spa offers a unique charm with our Swiss-inspired architecture, where guests can indulge in world-class spa treatments and enjoy exquisite dining options. Our Food and Beverage outlets include Z's Restaurant, The Bakery and the Lobby Lounge in addition to our Banquet Conference Center.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Interact one on one with guests, follow sequence of service while guiding guests through all phases of their experience </li><li>Take orders, inform kitchen of items orderd, serve or deliver food and beverages to resort guests, present check to guest, clear table. </li><li>Memorize and maintain a knowledgeable command of menu items and specialty product offerings as well as Zermatt Resort general information and happenings. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experince. </li><li>Anticipate customers' needs and provide proactive service </li><li>Assist with opening and closing of restaurant or food and Beverage area. </li><li>Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service </li><li>Ensure all food is served according to restaurant standards abd presentation guidelines. </li><li>Set up, clean, tear down workstation, maintain a neat, efficient work area during service. Restock necessary supplies. </li><li>Prepare side work, mixing drinks, cocktails and offering wine service, assist with tasks such as folding napkins, polishing cutlery and refilling condiments </li><li>Provide training, coaching and mentoring for new team members. </li><li>Follow mandatory safe cleaning and sanitizing procedures. </li><li>Process payments, handle cash, and operate point of sale (POS) system </li><li>Able to work well with other team members. Be positive and show enthusiasm. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience as a Server is required. </li><li>Previous lead or experience training is desired but not necessary. </li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age to apply for serving positions. </li><li>High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. </li><li>Food Handler Certification - current or able to complete training within the first 30 days. </li><li>Alcohol servers permit - current or able to complete training within the first 30 days </li><li>Knowledge of basic wine and cocktail pairings is a valuable asset for candidates. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent multi-tasking and organizational abilities </li><li>Ability to work well under pressure, utilizing effective teamwork and collaboration skills to ensure seamless restaurant operations </li><li>Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays - shifts are currently offered as PM availability and are open to change based on scheduling and resort demand. </li><li>Able to stand, walk, bend for extended periods of time, lift up to 35 pounds. </li></ul>
