Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good.</p> <p>What Benefits can you Look Forward to?</p> <ul> <li>Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day </li><li>2:1 Match on retirement savings </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities*</p> <ul> <li>Provide check in, checkout and general clerical support for the Canton Health Center. </li><li>Provide exceptional customer service to patient and families by facilitating business processes that result in the management of efficient patient flow in a fast paced environment. </li><li>Provide a range of guest services, including way finding and information within the facility. </li><li>Additional responsibilities include: appointment scheduling. </li><li>Process all patient payments (co-pays and outstanding balances) including: confirmation of patient charges, collection of payments, balancing of receipts and the reconciliation of cash collections. </li><li>Navigate electronic medical record, maintain business work queues, and in basket management. </li><li>Verify and update patient information, obtain referrals and/or authorizations. </li><li>Respond to inquiries concerning department programs, services and activities. </li><li>Provide general information to staff and patients </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED. </li><li>Demonstrated record of excellent attendance. </li><li>Demonstrated active listening, written, verbal and information technology skills. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team setting. </li><li>Communicates effectively. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Solid working knowledge of computers and navigating multiple computer applications </li><li>Able to multi-task in a robust, fast paced environment </li><li>Professional and Positive Interaction with Patients, Providers, and Staff </li><li>Ability to work independently, identifying priorities while contributing as an active team member </li><li>Basic Medical Terminology </li><li>Existing MiChart or EHR experience </li><li>Knowledge of UMHS policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>40 hours per week. Monday thru Friday including one evening shift weekly. 11:00 a.m. ? 7:30 p.m. and rotating Saturdays.</p> <p>Modes of Work</p> <p>Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
