<p>Job Description:</p> <p>LEARN, Southeastern Connecticut's Regional Educational Service Center, invites candidates to apply for an anticipated School Social Worker opening across our magnet schools and outplacement programs for the 2026-2027 school year.</p> <p>Day to Day</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate small social skills groups to support student development. </li><li>Provide individual and group counseling services aligned with IEP goals and objectives. </li><li>Consult and collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and school staff to support student success. </li><li>Complete assessments as appropriate to inform interventions and supports. </li><li>Partner with families, caregivers, and outside agencies to ensure students have access to necessary services. </li><li>Participate in building-wide initiatives promoting positive behavioral approaches. </li><li>Integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) through Tier 1 instruction and provide MTSS supports and services. </li><li>Support school-wide and individualized behavioral systems, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proper school social worker certification required. </li><li>Previous experience working with young children in a school, hospital, or clinic setting required. </li><li>Experience creating and implementing IEPs preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with school-based social-emotional supports, cognitive behavioral therapy, and MTSS frameworks preferred. </li></ul> <p>Qualified applicants should apply online at https://www.applitrack.com/learn/onlineapp/ (application can be found under the Student Support Services category).
