Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.</p> <p>Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Manager Programs 3 to support the Advanced Land Sensors (ALS) Operating Unit (OU) onsite in Baltimore, MD. The individual will work as the lead ALS (including G/ATOR) production product line program manager, responsible for on-time production deliveries. This is a high visibility program to deliver critical capability to the US Marine Corp and other customers.</p> <p>What You'll Get to Do:</p> <p>Program Managers are responsible for leading all phases of the production program from launching requirements, through material procurement, build, test and sell off. Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance and activities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Leading and directing cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives. </li><li>Measuring and reporting program performance. </li><li>Delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders. </li><li>Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, operating budgets, and schedule milestones. </li><li>Development and adherence to master plans and schedules. </li><li>Establishment and management of the program and subcontract baselines. </li><li>Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM). </li><li>Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning. </li><li>Managing suppliers to meet program objectives. </li><li>Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards. </li><li>Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities. </li><li>Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree with 8 years', Master's Degree with 6 years', or a PhD with 3 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries. </li><li>Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as the project, technical, or manufacturing lead. </li><li>Prior experience with execution on production contracts. </li><li>Strong understanding of Firm Fixed Price contracts and impact to business objectives. </li><li>Understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). </li><li>Previous experience managing supplier impacts. </li><li>Prior experience cultivating and maintaining relationships with the customer. </li><li>Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of management and individual contributors. </li><li>US Citizenship. </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain required DoD security clearance. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience with execution of large, multi-year production contracts. </li><li>Active US DoD Secret Clearance. </li><li>Experience working as prime to DoD customer. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: $178,500.00 - $267,700.00</p> <p>The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.</p> <p>Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.</p> <p>The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
