<p>PURPOSE OF POSITION:</p> <p>To safely operate Slitter equipment and produce high quality products ensuring customer specifications are met.</p> <p>WORK PERFORMED:</p> <ul> <li>Fully understands and follows all ABX safety rules and policies </li><li>Safely loads & unloads mill rolls using the hoist & walk behind lift systems </li><li>Accurately pack and labels finished products </li><li>Performs all necessary quality checks and documents results </li><li>Operation and understanding of basic machine controls on at least one type of Slitter </li><li>Troubleshoots and corrects basic line issues. May need assistance for complex issues </li><li>Accurately and safely sets razor slitting knives to work order specified widths </li><li>Properly sets and hooks up rewind arms and rider rolls, to required roll width </li><li>Performs basic set-up of edge guide system and troubleshoots basic problems </li><li>Keeps accurate records of basic operations, including production, downtime and waste </li><li>Performs miscellaneous tasks as needed by Supervisor </li><li>Maintains housekeeping </li><li>Demonstrates capability of completing 1-week and 30-day expectations checklist </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 months as Operator in Training </li><li>Meets production goals on consistent basis for one (1) Slitting Machine (66% of time) </li><li>No written warnings or attendance while in this position </li><li>Basic understanding of JDE system </li><li>Demonstrates ability to complete Work Order completions in JDE </li><li>Demonstrates Work Order issues </li><li>Demonstrates ability to do inventory transfers </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Demonstrates some organizational skills and attention to details </li><li>Capable of and committed to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and company procedures. </li><li>Communicates and works well with other team members </li><li>Good mathematical skills </li><li>Continuous learning will be expected </li><li>Able to work overtime as required </li></ul> <p>ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
