Know how to use diagnostic tools and special service equipment </li><li>Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc </li><li>Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs </li><li>Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to identify the problem quickly </li><li>Good knowledge of automobiles </li><li>Effective analytical and communication skills </li><li>Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills </li><li>Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications </li><li>Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment </li><li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Technical degree preferred </li><li>ASE certifications preferred </li><li>Minimum of 2 years in service department </li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds </li><li>Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Basic Computer Skills </li><li>Positive, friendly attitude </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license </li><li>Pass a Background, Drug and MVR Check </li></ul>
