<p>Specialist, Technical Training (Gas Training)</p> <p>08/14/2025</p> <p>Locations: Shrewsbury, Massachusetts</p> <p>Works collaboratively across team to meet the objectives of the Technical Training Department. Responsible for supporting, analyzing, and enhancing department processes and data management.</p> <p>This position will report onsite. Will be responsible for travel to Berlin, CT and New Bedford, MA as business needs require.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Identifies potential risk and works across team on the assessment, mitigation and monitoring associated with business unit strategies and operations </li><li>Creates, analyzes and reports on training data using various manual and computerized information </li><li>Prepares reports and analysis on the status of identified risk/gaps; summarizes findings, develops strategy and presents to Technical Training management team. Responsible for collection of data from various resources </li><li>Reviews and/or summarizes various reports and makes recommendations for best practice solutions </li><li>Researches and identifies metrics to monitor progress of operator qualifications testing and risk status associated with task expirations. </li><li>Develops and produces accurate, consistent, and timely reporting </li><li>Reviews and defines user requests for enhancements to LMS (Learning Management System) system; communicates options available to satisfy users' business needs </li><li>Assists with identifying department processes that are inefficient and create/change procedures that will lead to measurable gains in data quality and time </li><li>Assists with the preparation of quantitative data required for the Operator Qualification Program </li></ul> <p>Project Support</p> <ul> <li>Handles overall communications, risk and issue resolution </li><li>Responsible for tracking and reporting </li><li>Evaluates results and summarizes progress of project </li><li>Prepares reports for upper management regarding project status </li><li>Ownership of EWN (Gas Operator Qualification) system for internal clients; includes workflow management, reporting, data collection and reporting </li></ul> <p>Administrative</p> <ul> <li>Performs support duties in LMS systems </li><li>Maintains employee transcripts (course history) on LMS to support compliance, regulatory agency requirements </li><li>Responsible for 3rd party vendor relationships where appropriate (Sum Total, EWN, LoneStar, Prometric) </li><li>Archives training records </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Technical knowledge/Skill:</p> <ul> <li>Good communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills; able to express complex ideas in simple terms; well-developed interpersonal skills </li><li>Good analytical skills including the ability to draw sound conclusions and act decisively </li><li>Ability to think and act in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting and/or conflicting priorities; ability to handle multiple assignments and projects </li><li>Ability to apply sound judgment; strong customer focus </li><li>Handle responsibilities with integrity and the highest standards of professionalism </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) </li><li>Working knowledge of OQ regulations and processes </li><li>Must be able to work collaboratively across Technical Training and Operations area to assist with the achievement of the organization's goals </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree or equivalent work experience required. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>One (1) or more years of related experience required. </li></ul> <p>Licenses & Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license required. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing.</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
