<p>Job Title: PD Nurse Practitioner</p> <p>Location: Jersey City Medical Center</p> <p>Department Name: JCMC Pediatric Hospitalist</p> <p>Req #: 0000208272</p> <p>Status: Hourly</p> <p>Shift: Day</p> <p>Pay Range: $57.69 - $91.34 per hour</p> <p>Pay Transparency:</p> <p>The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.</p> <p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides health care to infants and children.</p> <p>In collaboration with the Hospitalist Physician the NP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity.</p> <p>The Nurse Practitioner practices in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute and or subspecialty healthcare to their patients.</p> <p>They enhance the quality of care through education and clinical practice utilizing advanced practice, knowledge and research.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Education and experience in accordance with local, state and federal requirements </li><li>Masters degree in APP studies or a related field </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience </li><li>Strong clinical and decision-making skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities </li></ul> <p>Certifications and Licenses Required:</p> <ul> <li>Current licensure APRN, RN, CDS and DEA </li><li>Current NRP and BLS certification as required by specialty practice </li><li>Current prescriptive authority per state regulation </li><li>Clinical privileges at healthcare facilities as applicable </li><li>Current APP license and certification from the National Commission on Certification of APPs </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Per Diem </li><li>Days </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients </li><li>Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician </li><li>Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team </li><li>Perform procedures as necessary </li><li>Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care </li><li>Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education </li><li>Stay current with medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations </li><li>Engage in continuing education and professional development activities </li><li>Participate in research or quality improvement projects as directed or needed </li></ul> <p>Other Duties</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
