<p>Environmental Scientist - Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team. This role involves a balanced mix of office and fieldwork, focusing on site investigation and remediation projects across New Jersey. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects, including gas/oil projects and industrial sites, under the guidance of experienced professionals.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct site investigations and remediation throughout New Jersey. </li><li>Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). </li><li>Write closure and summary reports. </li><li>Perform groundwater and soil sampling. </li><li>Coordinate schedules for various projects. </li><li>Write technical reports. </li><li>Evaluate and remediate underground storage tanks (UST). </li><li>Conduct field screening of soils and post-remediation soil sampling. </li><li>Participate in 50% fieldwork and 50% office work. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in environmental remediation. </li><li>Proficiency in soil, groundwater, and air sampling techniques. </li><li>Ability to perform technical report writing. </li><li>Experience with field procedure manuals for soil, air, and groundwater testing. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience at an environmental consulting firm. </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
