All candidates must be available and are expected to work Texas A&M football game days, Ring Days, graduations, and other high occupancy times due to special events. We strive hard to manage and minimalize overtime, but it should and will be expected when business levels call for it.</p> <ul> <li>Full-time: 30-40 hours per week depending on level of business forecasted </li><li>Part-time: 8-29 hours per week depending on level of business forecasted </li><li>Days of week/weekend scheduled will vary depending on level of business forecasted. Most shifts will be 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Greets guests as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided. </li><li>Distributes menus and presents the daily specials. </li><li>Answers questions regarding the menu. </li><li>Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen. </li><li>Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests. </li><li>Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to guests' satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen. </li><li>Collects plates and clears the table as guests finish their meals. </li><li>Prepares guests' checks and collects payments. </li><li>Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. </li><li>Well-organized with the ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately. </li><li>Ability to operate point-of-sale systems. </li><li>Must be at least 18 years old. </li><li>Previous experience as a server preferred. </li><li>Must obtain the Texas food handling certification and TABC certification. </li><li>Prolonged periods of standing and walking. </li><li>Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds. </li></ul>
