<p>Overview</p> <p>The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the delivery of safe, quality patient care, including diagnostic services for both inpatients and outpatients with speech and language or swallowing disorders.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Evaluations, documentation, and reassessments of patients are required in compliance with all accrediting agencies. As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Speech Language Pathologist is expected to communicate effectively with other team members, including nurses, physicians, discharge planners, and other professional relationships involved in the patients care. All therapists will maintain professional relationships with patients and staff, abiding by the codes of ethical conduct. The Speech Language Pathologist is expected to maintain skill and knowledge levels through literature, continuing education and other available sources.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>National Board Certified and California Licensed Speech & Language Pathologist. Current BLS Certification. Able to communicate clearly English, including reading comprehension and writing skills. Ability to speak, see and hear adequately with or without corrective devices.</p>
