<p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>Working hands-on with product development support the design, test, evaluation, manufacturing and procurement of auxiliary axle suspension components.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Provide design/drafting support for new product layouts, concept generation, prototype evaluation and production releases using NX.</p> <p>Work with Product Development Technicians to facilitate set up, execution, inspection, documentation and analysis.</p> <p>Schedule testing and prototype building.</p> <p>Specify and purchase equipment required for projects to properly evaluate product testing.</p> <p>Design, develop and document test procedures to accurately evaluate products.</p> <p>Acquire and analyze and report out test results.</p> <p>Assist with the creation of Design Verification Plans (DVP) for products requiring validation physical testing.</p> <p>Develop Power Point presentations for project design reviews.</p> <p>Write Product Evaluation Requests for project testing.</p> <p>Write Engineering Change Requests.</p> <p>Complete Engineering Change requests. Notice documentation.</p> <p>All other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Education and Training</p> <p>Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.</p> <p>Minimum of a 3.0 GPA</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Working towards a Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field required.</p> <p>Knowledge of basic engineering fundamentals included but not limited to: statics, dynamics, physics, calculus and materials required.</p> <p>Effective written, oral and PC skills required (emphasis on Excel).</p> <p>Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required.</p> <p>Previous experience in a test lab, machine shop or in a business setting preferred.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Frequent sitting and working at a computer for extended period of time</p> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <p>Office and shop floor setting</p> <p>Behavioral Traits</p> <p>Teamwork</p> <p>Development and continuous learning</p> <p>Manage projects and programs</p> <p>Researching information</p> <p>Relationship building</p> <p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
