<p>Position Description</p> <p>Provide, compile, and share information with community partners regarding Sheriff's Office programs, initiatives, and engagement opportunities that promote positive, non-enforcement interaction with the public. Assist in coordinating community programs, meetings, and events that connect community leaders, organizations, and Sheriff's Office employees. Develop, organize, and present presentations for both internal and external audiences related to Sheriff's Office programs, community partnerships, and public safety education.</p> <p>Under the direction of the Director of Community Engagement and the Community Engagement Coordinator, assist with the development and coordination of community engagement programs and initiatives designed to strengthen relationships between the Sheriff's Office and residents of Franklin County. Support the planning and implementation of programs, advisory groups, and engagement initiatives that promote collaboration, community awareness, and understanding of Sheriff's Office services and career opportunities.</p> <p>Represent the Sheriff's Office at community outreach events, public meetings, speaking engagements, and educational activities to support relationship-building with community organizations, schools, civic groups, nonprofit organizations, faith-based institutions, and local businesses throughout Franklin County.</p> <p>Support internal professional development and employee engagement efforts by assisting with training coordination, internal presentations, and programs that strengthen collaboration, communication, and professional growth among Sheriff's Office employees.</p> <p>Assist with community outreach efforts that support recruitment awareness by connecting residents with information about employment opportunities within the Sheriff's Office. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and civic groups that support public safety awareness and community collaboration.</p> <p>Prepare reports, memorandums, and briefings related to community engagement activities, program coordination, professional development initiatives, and outreach efforts.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in related field. </li><li>Valid Ohio Driver's License. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Successfully complete Recruitment, Community Engagmeent and Professional Development field training. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of public relations, administration and human and social programs, community, and public relations; functions, policies, and structure of the office. Ability to assess and analyze community concerns and recommend action.
