Bucks County Community College is seeking a Part-Time Faculty Veterinarian to join our growing Veterinary Technician program. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of veterinary medicine by educating and mentoring the next generation of vet tech professionals.</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>The successful candidate will plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture, clinical, and/or laboratory format based on the approved course outline by selecting and utilizing a variety of approved course materials and teaching methods that address all learning modalities to ensure that the needs of individual students in the program are met.</p> <p>Primary Job Duties</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assess student learning using appropriate methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct an engaging classroom lecture and/or lab based on the course outline.</p> </li><li> <p>Motivate students by demonstrating sensitivity to concerns and actively involving students in classroom discussions and/or activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan for equipment and supplies, or other activities as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete all course assessments as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Use technology to enhance teaching/learning in the classroom.</p> </li></ul> <p>Veterinarian-Specific Duties</p> <ul> <li> <p>Form and review the IACUC committee and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the health and safety of animals used in the classroom.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee USDA inspections.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain DEA licensure for the program.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule students for clinical assignments.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform clinical site visits.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as OSHA safety officer.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Licensed veterinarian in the state of Pennsylvania.</p> </li><li> <p>Two years of experience in an educational institution (teaching or program oversight).</p> </li></ul> <p>Application Requirements</p> <p>Interested candidates must submit the following documents through our online application portal:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current Resume or Curriculum Vitae</p> </li><li> <p>Cover Letter</p> </li><li> <p>Unofficial transcripts (Official transcripts required upon hire)</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>Final candidates will be required to successfully complete a Pennsylvania background check as part of the hiring process.</p> <p>Make a Difference.
