<p>Kforce has a client that is looking for a Senior Wi-Fi Release and Incident Process Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO.</p> <p>Overview: We are seeking a Senior Wi-Fi Release & Incident Process Engineer to support large-scale wireless network operations within a high-performance MSO environment. This role is responsible for release management, incident response processes, and continuous improvement of Wi-Fi network performance across enterprise and residential platforms.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in wireless network architecture, operational processes, and incident management, with a strong ability to manage complex network changes and resolve high-impact production issues.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead Wi-Fi release planning, forecasting, and deployment processes for complex wireless network environments </li><li>Manage and improve incident response workflows, ensuring rapid resolution of customer-impacting issues </li><li>Design and implement wireless network architecture enhancements to improve performance, scalability, and reliability </li><li>Develop and maintain Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for releases, upgrades, and incident mitigation </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and products to support new feature rollouts </li></ul> <p>Analyze and resolve complex wireless network issues, including:</p> <ul> <li>Latency </li><li>Congestion </li><li>Interference </li><li>Device/CPE-related issues </li></ul> <p>Integrate and document end-to-end network architectures, including:</p> <ul> <li>Hardware </li><li>Software </li><li>Transmission and signaling protocols </li><li>Evaluate new wireless technologies, devices, and platforms prior to production deployment </li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives for release processes, incident management, and network performance </li><li>Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation using tools such as Visio* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) </li><li>6+ years of experience in wireless networking (10+ years preferred for senior candidates) </li></ul> <p>Strong experience in:</p> <ul> <li>Wi-Fi release management and deployment processes </li><li>Incident management and root cause analysis in production environments </li></ul> <p>Deep knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>Wireless networking fundamentals (OSI Model, TCP/IP) </li><li>IEEE 802.11 standards (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7) </li><li>Routing, switching, bridging, and Ethernet technologies </li></ul> <p>Proven experience with:</p> <ul> <li>Wireless network architecture and topology design </li><li>Large-scale WiFi deployments (MSO, telecom, or enterprise) </li></ul> <p>Strong troubleshooting skills across:</p> <ul> <li>RF </li><li>Network </li><li>Device (CPE) layers </li></ul> <p>Proficiency with:</p> <ul> <li>Network design tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio) </li><li>Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certifications such as CCNP (Wireless or Enterprise) </li></ul> <p>Experience with WiFi vendors such as:</p> <ul> <li>Cisco </li><li>Arris </li><li>Ruckus Networks </li><li>Background in MSO or large-scale ISP environments </li></ul> <p>Experience with:</p> <ul> <li>Wi-Fi analytics and monitoring tools (e.g., dashboards, telemetry platforms) </li><li>Change management and release governance processes </li><li>Strong understanding of customer experience (QoE) metrics and optimization </li></ul> <p>Specialized Skills (Required):</p> <ul> <li>Wireless network release management and incident process ownership </li><li>Complex network change management and deployment coordination </li><li>Advanced root cause analysis and troubleshooting in production environments </li><li>Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities </li></ul> <p>Soft Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities </li><li>Excellent communication (written and verbal) </li><li>Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills </li></ul>
