<p>This Opportunity</p> <p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a Professional Geologist II for our Tallahassee office. This position is a contract-dedicated position supporting a client-specific program. Be involved in site contamination cleanup projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>The successful candidate will facilitate assessment and cleanup of petroleum contaminated sites to protect groundwater in Florida. </li><li>Prioritize assessment for petroleum contaminated sites in Florida. </li><li>Verify investigation data in technical reports, maps and summary tables. </li><li>Work with project staff to generate site specific scopes of work for procurement of site assessment services. </li><li>Prepare written approvals and comments for project reports and deliverables. </li><li>Coordinate with team members for technical decisions including approval of deliverables and issuance of site rehabilitation completion orders. </li><li>Communicate effectively in meetings and video calls with property owners, consultants and regulatory professionals. </li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Geology or geological sciences. </li><li>5-7+ years of professional experience in environmental protection, regulation or health. </li><li>Licensed by the State of Florida as a Professional Geologist. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with site contamination assessment or groundwater monitoring. </li><li>Ability to mentor and guide junior staff members. </li><li>Experience in the FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program. </li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize a complicated workload to meet established deadlines and metrics. </li></ul>
