<p>Purpose: To supplement reading and/or math instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-8</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Ability to relate to children with special needs; ability to provide instructional activities in collaboration with teacher</p> <p>Some college training preferable. Minimum education requirements are:</p> <ul> <li>48 semester hours which include core courses with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR </li><li>Associate Degree or higher with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR </li><li>WorkKeys testing in Math - (min score 4); Reading - (min score 4); and Writing - (min score 3). </li></ul> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide supplemental instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-8 to provide reinforcement of readingand/or math skills. </li><li>Collaborate with classroom teacher to prepare lessons, materials, and activities that supplements classroom reading and/or math instruction for academically at-risk students. </li><li>Adhere to the federal guidelines regarding non-instructional assignments/duties. </li><li>Attend Title I staff meetings and professional development. </li></ul>
