<p>Westford Public Schools is seeking a dynamic leader to champion student learning at the Lloyd G. Blanchard Middle School. Blanchard Middle School employs 80 professional and support staff members who deliver excellence to 537 students. The District has embraced Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as a means to provide multiple ways to present information, engage with academics and demonstrate understanding. Additionally, Blanchard embraces Restorative Practices as a means to cultivate a supportive, equitable, and connected community where students learn from their mistakes, repair harm, and develop essential social and emotional skills. Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise the middle school's educational program and curriculum implementation. </li><li>Hire highly qualified teachers </li><li>Collaborate with curriculum coordinators and special education </li><li>Ensure the integration of culturally responsive and inclusive materials. </li><li>Communicate the school's vision and goals to stakeholders. </li><li>Facilitate communication and participatory decision-making. </li><li>Implement effective educational policies and procedures. </li><li>Establish and enforce high standards for student conduct. </li><li>Collaborative with the special education department to facilitate comprehensive student support services. </li><li>Supervise and evaluate staff. </li><li>Manages school operations, including schedules, records, and building maintenance. </li><li>Develops and manages annual budget </li><li>Leads the School Advisory Council </li><li>Annually reviews and updates Student Handbook </li></ul> <p>Qualifications include:</p> <ul> <li>A Master's Degree and Massachusetts certification as a middle school principal. </li><li>At least three years of successful secondary teaching experience. </li><li>Previous administrator experience preferred. </li><li>Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and management skills. </li><li>Experience in curriculum development, evaluation, and implementation. </li><li>Knowledge of technology and information management tools. </li><li>Passion for high academic standards and expectations </li><li>Ability to connect with staff, students and parents </li><li>Team player at the district level </li></ul>
