This is our company ethos, but it's our people's too: Refresco is at the cutting edge of a fast-moving industry because we have passionate people pushing the boundaries of what's best.</p> <p>Stop and think: how would YOU put our drinks on every table?</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>The Director of Data & AI is a leadership role focused on leveraging data, analytics and AI to drive business value, foster a data-driven culture, and ensure the effective governance and utilization of data assets and ecosystem across the organization. This includes the creation and management of data, analytics and Artificial Intelligence strategy and operating model. The Director of Data & AI is responsible for establishing, leading and operating the D&AI function; building trust and managing data; evolving technology capabilities and developing talent and D&AI culture. The Director of Data & AI leads multidisciplinary teams of data architects, data engineers and data scientists, and partner with business processes subject matter experts and business leaders.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Defines data, analytics and AI strategy, including vision, drivers and outcomes. </li><li>Institutes an operating model for data, analytics and AI that is consistent with the capabilities and competencies required to execute the strategy. The operating model includes the ecosystem, architectures and delivery model. </li><li>Builds partnerships with leadership to ensure that data is being managed as a business asset, data is AI-ready, and by tracking and measuring the value derived from those data assets. Communicates the tangible business value generated from data, analytics and AI initiatives to stakeholders and executives. </li><li>Lead data-driven innovation for the enterprise, including investigation, adoption and exploitation of artificial intelligence. Identifying new kinds, types and sources of data to enable business value innovation throughout the organization and enable new use cases. Monitor for emerging skills and technologies, focusing on accelerating business innovation and transformation. </li><li>Maintains authority and accountability for the data assets, and of the analytics used for decision making, and AI solutions that automate decisions and augment human performance. Creates and oversees a centralized data management/data engineering service for sharing certified data products to ensure quality, traceability, timeliness, usability and cost-effectiveness. </li><li>Oversees delivery models, methods and practices for creation of data, analytics and AI products and to ensure consistent application and use of data and analytics solutions and services, including data science. </li><li>Evolves technology capabilities for the D&AI platform, in collaboration with the different IT functions, to align D&AI initiatives with IT infrastructure and policies, and drive technology innovation across the organization. </li><li>Establishes and maintains trust in AI-ready data assets by instituting governance mechanisms for data including fostering data stewardship across business data domains. Includes other leaders that share responsibility for data, such as security, privacy, risk and compliance leaders. </li><li>Understands regulatory requirements, relevant data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, EU AI Act and CCPA, and industry-specific standards. Ensures the organization's data practices are compliant, in collaboration with legal and compliance. </li><li>Oversees the ethical and responsible use of data and algorithms used for artificial intelligence, analytics and automated decision making. Establishes guidelines and practices that prevent misuse of data and protect individual privacy, beyond regulatory and compliance requirements. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration; science technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); computer science; data science; information systems or related field. </li><li>Experience in data management, business intelligence and analytics environments is required </li><li>Experience in software development, including an understanding of programming concepts and the logic flow of applications, is preferred. </li><li>Experience with Cloud is preferred. </li><li>Certifications in Data and AI are differentiators. </li><li>Experience with SAP ERP (S/4Hana or ECC). </li><li>Experience with SAP Data Sphere (preferable), Data Bricks or Snowflake. </li><li>Experience with Agile methodologies and Product Management. </li><li>Minimum Ten (10) years managing teams. </li><li>Experience leading transformation programs in large organizations. </li><li>Experience in manufacturing environments is a differentiator. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic thought leadership with a strong understanding of cross-functional business processes in a global organization. </li><li>Can effectively cope with change and anticipate the impact; Makes decisions and acts without all information understanding the calculated risk; Remains calm and focused during times of change </li><li>Can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately; Has broad knowledge and perspective; Is future oriented; Can articulately describe credible hypothesis and visions of possibilities and likelihoods; Can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans. </li><li>Can engage resources (people, funding, material, support) to meet objectives in an accelerated fashion; Can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish goals; Communicates expectations to organization and builds in accountability measures; Establishes bold goals and objectives that align with the Company Strategy; Reports on results to promote accountability and takes action as appropriate. </li><li>Is very flexible and adaptable when facing tough calls; Is seen as balanced despite the conflicting demands of the situation; Maintains a strong sense of self while simultaneously maintaining humility. </li><li>Can design practices, processes, and procedures which allow managing from a distance; Can make things work through others; Can impact people and results remotely; Creates opportunity for synergy and integration of workflow; Adeptly adjusts measurement of processes and systems </li><li>Creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team; Shares wins and successes; Enthusiastically broadcasts team's successes, crediting and honoring the whole group; Creates a feeling of belonging in the team; Builds mission-driven, cohesive teams that project a team spirit which inspires and motivates </li><li>Communicates a compelling and inspired vision or sense of core purpose; Talks beyond today, illustrating the vision of the company; Makes the vision applicable to and sharable by everyone; Can inspire and motivate entire units or organizations; Impassions others with a strong sense of purpose; Instinctively discerns what drives his/her audience </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Physical Demands- Continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job is administrative in nature. </li><li>Visual/Sensory - This position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time. </li><li>Work environment - Work and environment fasted paced, requiring ability to remain focused under pressure. </li><li>Mental Stress - There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, project management, accuracy or similar demands. </li><li>Travel up to 25% of the time based on business needs. </li></ul> <p>A Career with Refresco</p> <p>Refresco is passionate about empowering leaders who reflect our core values and live by our leadership behaviors.
