<p>PENDING FUNDING AND ENROLLMENT</p> <p>LOWELL PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>SUMMER SCHOOL SERVICES 2025</p> <p>Junior Police Academy</p> <p>Position: Classroom Teacher -</p> <p>Reports to: Program Administrator</p> <p>Dates of Employment:</p> <p>Session I (7 & 8 graders)</p> <p>Students attend June 23- July 11 (no school July 4th)</p> <p>Session II (5th and 6th graders):</p> <p>Students attend July 23-August 8th</p> <p>Teachers will also receive five hours of planning time prior to each session</p> <p>4 hours per day (mornings)</p> <p>Requirements / Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>At least three (3) years successful teaching experience preferred </li><li>Experience working as a teacher in Lowell for students with and without disabilities </li><li>Experience working in a summer program or after school program to provide academic tutoring with middle school students </li><li>Certification as a classroom teacher in ELA </li><li>Experience with designing engaging curriculum </li><li>· </li></ul> <p>Duties / Responsibilities:</p> <p>Report to the Program Administrator</p> <p>Teachers will offer 2,1 hour blocks (ELA ) to middle school students enrolled in the Lowell Junior Police Academy.</p> <p>Plan lessons to meet the individual learning needs of each child</p> <p>Support the development of English learning and supports through high quality instruction</p> <p>Provide instruction to approximately 20 students</p> <p>Maintain daily classroom attendance and other relevant records</p> <p>Report on student progress to families, Special Programs office</p> <p>Salary: $45hr</p>
