<p>What You'll Do Principal's Talent Acquisition team is looking for a Talent Acquisition Program Consultant to lead the internship program at Principal! Our Internship Program Management team is on a mission to design and deliver exceptional, inclusive experiences that leave a lasting impact. From building strong university partnerships to collaborating with campus recruiting and cross-functional teams, we drive the strategy behind a world-class internship program. We're the go-to experts for planning, consulting, and creating core content that empowers interns, leaders, mentors, and stakeholders alike. With a focus on continuous improvement and innovation, we're always refining the experience to ensure every intern journey is meaningful, inspiring, and aligned with business goals. The Internship Program Management Team's goal is to deliver a best-in-class internship experience for 200+ interns annually-one that showcases Principal's people, culture, and impact while also playing a critical role in developing future-ready talent pipelines. By providing meaningful, high-impact experiences across a range of business, professional, and technical career pathways, the program helps cultivate early career talent aligned to our strategic workforce needs, ensuring we're building the skills and capabilities essential for long-term business growth and innovation. Core responsibilities of this role include: Program strategy & execution Drive end-to-end strategy around the summer internship program - sourcing, recruiting, planning, delivery, and evaluation Support the execution and continuous improvement of intern performance evaluation processes, ensuring feedback mechanisms are effective, consistent, and aligned with program goals. Source, coordinate, and manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and guest speakers to deliver impactful, high-quality content that enhances the intern experience. Promote the employment brand and company culture to attract top early career talent to Principal Data & analytics Drive the production, analysis, and distribution of key program metrics, such as return offer rates and acceptance data Seek out external benchmark data and develop best practices on campus recruitment efforts and internship experiences Relationship & resource management Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in recruiting, human resources, senior leaders and business partners, as well as with external partners Advise campus recruiters and cross-functional representatives on internship program objectives and overall strategy to maintain the integrity and quality of the program Consult with internal decision-making authorities, including senior leadership, and external partners on grants portfolio enabling university relations and recruiting initiatives Who You Are Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required 4+ years of experience in relationship management, talent acquisition, human resources, or another related field required Project management experience required which includes taking conceptual goals or initiatives and implementing them Excellent relationship management skills required Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills required Experience with early career talent programs Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Experience developing or supporting corporate giving strategies that align with higher education or university-level philanthropic priorities, including partnership development, scholarship funding, research collaboration, or talent pipeline initiatives. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $100800 - $182400 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Work Environments This role offers hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) at our corportate office in Des Moines, Iowa.
