<p>Description of Job Duty:</p> <p>The Department of Decision Sciences and Management at Tennessee Tech University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position beginning Fall 2026. Our department is home to over 500 students, and we offer two majors: Business Management and Business & Information Technology. We offer concentrations in General Management, Human Resource Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Business Intelligence & Analytics. We also provide graduate courses to support the College's MBA Program and graduate-level certificates.</p> <p>Tennessee Tech is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate Decision Science courses (12 hours per semester) from among the following topics: Business Applications Development, Business Analytics, Computer Forensics and Cybersecurity Management, and Project Management, and service to the department and university. The Lecturer will also participate in ongoing professional engagement sufficient to maintain status as an Instructional Practitioner or Scholarly Practitioner according to AACSB guidelines.</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>Those typical of any classroom or office environment.</p> <p>Special Instructions:</p> <p>Applicants will be required to apply online at www.tntech.edu/jobs and electronically upload a cover letter, curriculum vitae, copy of transcripts (official transcripts for all degrees conferred required upon hire), and contact information for three professional references. Full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track position to start August 1, 2026. Three-year contract renewable based on performance reviews, needs of the department, and funding.</p> <p>Benefits Information:</p> <p>Benefits include the accumulation of one (1) sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>MBA or a Master's degree in IS, IT, or a related field from an accredited institution. </li><li>Excellent communication skills; </li><li>At least four years of professional work experience in IS, IT, or a related field. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to engage students and business partners in projects or other experiential activities; </li><li>Experience teaching college or professional development courses; </li><li>MBA with a focus in IS or IT from an accredited institution; </li><li>Professional certification(s) in IT, IS, or related fields; </li><li>Ability to contribute to strategic initiatives of the college. </li></ul>
