<p>Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for a well-established organization within the enterprise technology industry located in Netwton, Pennsylvania. The Sr. Network Engineer role is an onsite position supporting large-scale campus and enterprise network environments. The Sr. Network Engineer will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for the design, deployment, and ongoing support of modern Cisco-based network architectures, with a strong emphasis on Software-Defined Access (SDA), formerly known as DNA Center and now referred to as Catalyst Center. An ideal candidate for the Sr. Network Engineer role is a hands-on network professional with deep expertise in SDA, enterprise routing and switching, and Cisco Catalyst platforms.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Sr. Network Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>Design, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) environments in enterprise production networks. </li><li>Utilize DNAC / Catalyst Center for provisioning, assurance, monitoring, and general network operations and maintenance. </li><li>Implement and support SDA architectures including LISP, SDA fabric components, policy-based automation, and micro-segmentation. </li><li>Integrate Cisco DNAC / Catalyst Center with Cisco ISE for identity-based access control and segmentation. </li><li>Configure, support, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches including 9200-CX, 9300, 9500, and 9600 platforms. </li><li>Support IPv4 and IPv6 routing environments utilizing BGP, IS-IS, and OSPF. </li><li>Act as a senior escalation point for complex network issues across routing, switching, and SDA fabrics. </li><li>Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure network performance, scalability, and reliability. </li><li>Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and best practices. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications of the Sr. Network Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or architecture roles. </li><li>Strong hands-on experience with Cisco SDA (DNA Center / Catalyst Center) including design, deployment, and troubleshooting. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of SDA components, LISP, fabric architecture, and micro-segmentation. </li><li>Proven experience integrating DNAC / Catalyst Center with Cisco ISE. </li><li>Extensive experience with Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches (9200, 9300, 9500, 9600). </li><li>Strong understanding of IPv4/IPv6 routing protocols including BGP, IS-IS, and OSPF. </li><li>Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical enterprise networks. </li><li>Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Sr. Network Engineer includes:</p> <ul> <li>Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000 </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and Sick Leave as required by law </li><li>This job opens for applications on 03/17/2026.
