We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and secure cloud-native and Kubernetes-based platforms for government clients. This role includes supporting Spectro Cloud Kubernetes installations in classified and air-gapped environments. You will be instrumental in building and automating Linux and hybrid cloud infrastructure to enable secure and scalable mission outcomes.</p> <p>This position can be based in Melbourne, FL; Huntsville, AL; Denver, CO; or Salt Lake City, UT</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Architect and deploy secure, scalable Linux and Kubernetes infrastructures for government environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Guide client teams on cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and DevSecOps best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement automation using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tools to streamline infrastructure operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks such as STIG, RMF, and related DoD requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot and optimize performance across complex, distributed systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Mentor client teams on Kubernetes operations, infrastructure automation, and secure cloud practices.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong experience in Linux infrastructure and cloud-native environments</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on Kubernetes administration (2+ years)</p> </li><li> <p>CI/CD pipeline development and management (3+ years) using GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Automation expertise with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash</p> </li><li> <p>Experience securing and troubleshooting distributed systems</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of DoD security frameworks (STIG, RMF)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and mentoring abilities</p> </li><li> <p>DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>U.S. Citizenship</p> </li><li> <p>8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience</p> </li><li> <p>2+ years of Kubernetes administration</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of CI/CD pipeline work</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience with Spectro Cloud Kubernetes</p> </li><li> <p>VMware and Windows infrastructure in hybrid environments</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with RMF and ATO processes</p> </li><li> <p>Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, RHCE, AWS, Azure</p> </li><li> <p>GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to edge computing and air-gapped deployments</p> </li></ul> <p>CALIBRE and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports transitioning service members, veterans and individuals with disabilities.
