At Pitt Community College, we're proud to serve those who've served our country.</p> <p>We are seeking a Coordinator of Veteran's Affairs to provide leadership, advocacy, and comprehensive support to our military-affiliated student population.</p> <p>This is more than just a job, it's a mission. Join us in creating a welcoming, informed, and empowering campus experience for those who've sacrificed so much.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Oversee daily operations of the Veteran's Affairs Office and serve as the lead contact for veterans and military-connected students </li><li>Ensure compliance with VA regulations, State policies, and institutional guidelines </li><li>Provide academic and financial advising specific to VA educational benefits, including GI Bill and Vocational Rehabilitation programs </li><li>Certify student eligibility and enrollment for VA benefits and maintain accurate records </li><li>Serve as a liaison to the Department of Veterans Affairs, other campus offices, and external agencies </li><li>Develop and implement orientation programs, workshops, and events for veteran students </li><li>Advocate for student success by counseling students on financial aid, registration, and academic progress </li><li>Monitor and resolve overpayment issues and support students with Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeals </li><li>Maintain positive relationships with the veteran student community and serve as Veterans' Club liaison </li><li>Coordinate veteran-focused communications and marketing in partnership with the Financial Aid Office </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Why Join PCC?</p> <ul> <li>A mission-driven campus community dedicated to access, equity, and student success </li><li>The opportunity to directly impact the lives of military-connected learners </li><li>Professional development, a supportive work environment, and meaningful service </li><li>Participation in events, community partnerships, and continuous improvement initiatives </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a closely related field required </li><li>3-5 years of related experience in veteran services, enrollment management, financial aid, or academic advising </li><li>Experience in compliance monitoring, marketing, outreach, and student advising </li><li>Ability to operate and learn systems such as Microsoft Office, Datatel (Colleague), GoArmy Portal, AI Portal, and other VA-related platforms </li><li>Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Ready to help those who served succeed in the classroom and beyond?
