This on-campus position is student-centered, providing high-quality campus services and hands-on learning experiences.</p> <p>MISSION: As North Dakota's Polytechnic Institution, Bismarck State College focuses on student success through the delivery of affordable, flexible, high-quality, experiential learning enhanced by public-private partnerships.</p> <p>VISION: Bismarck State College will be a leader in polytechnic education, improving lives and building sustainable communities.</p> <p>SUMMARY OF POSITION:</p> <p>Opportunities exist for part-time, non-benefited instructors to teach surgical technology laboratory or lecture courses and supervise student clinicals in the Associate of Surgical Technology Program.</p> <p>Other responsibilities include submitting grades by the established deadlines and other duties as assigned by the Dean of Current Emerging Technologies and/or the Assistant Dean of Current Emerging Technologies - Allied Health.</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a graduate of an education program in Surgical Technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency </li><li>Current certification from the NBSTSA(CST) </li><li>Registered with the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) as a surgical technologist </li><li>Minimum of two years of experience in surgical technology practice within the past 5 years </li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups. </li><li>Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent written communication skills </li><li>Good computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, etc., electronic calendar and Email, and strong internet familiarity. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>College teaching experience </li><li>Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System </li><li>Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction. </li></ul> <p>APPLICATION INFORMATION:</p> <p>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
