<p>Nash Community College is seeking a qualified, part-time Adjunct Culinary Instructor to</p> <p>teach both curriculum and continuing education courses. Adjunct faculty are student-</p> <p>centered professionals who support the College's mission of meeting students where they</p> <p>are and preparing them for successful and rewarding careers in a global and diverse</p> <p>society.</p> <p>Responsibilities include delivering high-quality instruction, maintaining a safe and engaging</p> <p>learning environment (classroom and kitchen), assessing student learning outcomes, and</p> <p>supporting student success. Instructors may teach day, evening, or weekend courses and</p> <p>are expected to maintain current industry knowledge and instructional best practices.</p> <p>POOLING APPLICANT NOTICE:</p> <p>This job posting is being used to capture a pool of qualified adjunct faculty candidates. Adjunct faculty are part-time, non-salaried faculty who are paid for each class taught and are hired on an as-needed basis. An adjunct job posting does not imply an open position exists at this time. The need for adjunct faculty changes from semester to semester and should be considered temporary in nature. Employees may request reasonable accommodation(s) if necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain stationary position, sitting or standing, for extended periods of time up to 6 hours. </li><li>Operate a computer and other office machinery. </li><li>Occasionally lift, move, transport, install, or remove items weighing up to 25 pounds. </li><li>The ability to communicate information so that others understand. </li><li>The ability to observe details. </li><li>Occasionally move to different classrooms across campus to provide instruction, advising, and instructional support. </li><li>Drive to remote instructional sites or other locations in performance of the duties listed in this job description. </li></ul> <p>Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts from a regionally accredited institution, plus work</p> <p>experience in the culinary industry.</p>
