<p>Job Title: Shift Supervisor</p> <p>Department: Cold Operations & Hot Operations</p> <p>Reports To: Department Leader</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>As a 12-Hour Rotating Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of approximately 30 hourly union employees in a fiberglass yarn manufacturing plant. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining safety standards, ensuring operational efficiency, and achieving production targets while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and Lead: Direct and coordinate the activities of hourly union employees on the production floor to ensure adherence to production targets and quality standards. </li><li>Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring all employees follow safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards promptly. </li><li>Production Oversight: Monitor and manage production processes to achieve daily and weekly production targets. </li><li>Employee Development: Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to employees. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment. </li><li>Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues and challenges in a timely manner. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. </li><li>Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with employees, management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Conduct regular shift meetings to discuss performance, goals, and any concerns. </li><li>Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on production, safety, and employee performance. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical or vocational training preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Strong leadership and team-building skills. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. </li><li>Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting. </li><li>Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. We mirror the DuPont schedule. </li><li>Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite. </li></ul> <p>Because this role supports critical manufacturing and production activities, it is required to be performed onsite.
