<p>The Preble County ESC is seeking a Preschool Intervention Specialist to serve in our preschool program for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and potentially beyond. This classroom will be housed at the Preble County ESC Preschool on 597 Hillcrest Drive, Eaton OH 45320.</p> <p>Position: Preschool Intervention Specialist</p> <p>Reports to: Preschool Supervisor</p> <p>Employment Status: Regular/Full-Time or Long Term Substitute</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>Duty Days: 189</p> <p>Salary: Commensurate with experience</p> <p>Description: Provide classroom instruction to preschool students</p> <p>Essential Functions: (not exclusive)</p> <ul> <li>Ensure safety of students </li><li>Teach and evaluate the students using sound instructional practices </li><li>Maintain accurate and complete records as required </li><li>Provide complete lesson plans for substitute </li><li>Work with general education teachers in transitioning of students </li><li>Ensure that the IEP goals/objectives for students are met </li><li>Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students </li><li>Instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated </li><li>Write and follow individual student IEP's </li><li>Follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program as defined in the course of study </li><li>Participate in collaborative team teaching with colleagues </li><li>Serve as a member of the IEP team </li><li>Attend meetings and in-services as required </li><li>Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents </li><li>Effectively manage the classroom and individual student behavior to maintain a good learning environment </li><li>Prepare clear and timely lesson plans </li><li>Provide guidance to students which will promote their welfare and their proper educational development </li><li>Observe ethics of the teaching profession </li><li>Maintain respect at all times for confidential information, e.g., case history </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university </li><li>Appropriate State of Ohio certification/license </li><li>Preschool Intervention Specialist certificate </li><li>One year of related experience preferred </li><li>Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board may find appropriate. May consider applicant with a general education PreK license as a long term sub, if they are willing to go back to school to obtain their Preschool Intervention Specialist certificate. </li></ul>
