<p>Job Description</p> <p>Maintenance Mechanic - Vineland, NJ</p> <p>This is an full time, hourly position. for Day Shift only.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Vineland manufacturing location is a 58,000-square-foot facility producing savory products used in many industries serving North America. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform maintenance and repair on food processing equipment and the facility.</p> <p>Span of Control: Reports to Maintenance Superintendent</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Repairs and maintains all production equipment and facility, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Choppers </li><li>Fillers </li><li>Ovens </li><li>Emulsifiers </li><li>Kettles </li><li>Pumps </li><li>Metal Detectors </li></ul> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Performs daily inspections of machinery & equipment. </li><li>Performs improvements to building structures and fixtures. </li><li>Conducts minor repairs to electrical systems and plumbing. </li><li>Repairs and maintains all HVAC systems. </li><li>Repairs and maintains boiler system. </li><li>Interprets manuals and diagnostic drawings. </li><li>Calibrates equipment. </li><li>Reports problems with physical equipment or maintenance tasks that may impact on safe quality food to immediate supervisor and Quality Assurance/Quality Control. </li><li>Completes paperwork as required. </li><li>Performs other tasks as assigned. </li><li>Complete required trainings as scheduled. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent. Trade or Vocational School graduate preferred. </li><li>Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic. </li><li>Excellent welding skills for stainless steel. (stick, tig, mig, plasma, sanitary) </li><li>Fabrication Skills are a plus. </li><li>Currently licensed for Boiler Operator (Blue or Black Seal preferred) and/or Licensed HVAC (not certified). </li><li>Understanding of hydraulic, plumbing and electrical systems. Aptitude for repair. </li><li>Basic knowledge of food safety hazards and contamination/cross contamination prevention. </li><li>Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. </li><li>Ability to read, write, complete forms, and prepare reports. Good communication ability and ability to complete Purchase Orders and Work Orders. </li><li>Manual dexterity and strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. </li><li>Basic computer skills. </li><li>Desire for personal improvement. </li><li>Ability to get along with fellow employees and work as a team. </li><li>Excellent Attendance is expected and flexibility to work off hours may be required. </li><li>Experience with SMS and SPCC recordkeeping a plus. </li><li>Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures. </li><li>Prepared to perform all tasks in a safe manner. </li><li>Must be able to utilize fork trucks, scissor lifts and articulated boom lifts. </li><li>Exhibit regular and prompt attendance. </li><li>Must have confident and courteous manners. </li></ul> <p>ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.</p> <p>REF:97570BR</p>
