<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Under the direction of the principal, plan and teach a class within the specified career education subject area. The class will follow the California State CTE standards and provide students with relevant academic and technical instruction within the Nursing services industry. All classes will include appropriate work-based learning experiences for students, such as internships or industry-based projects. The selected candidate will develop relationships with local business partners in order to secure these opportunities for students Work hours based on student enrollment (20-40 hours per week)</p> <p>View Job Description</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and possess a designated subject vocational education credential. If applicant does not possess the credential, he/she must have at least three years of work experience directly related to the subject to be named on the credential. One year of the required work experience shall be within the last five years or two years within the last 10 years of the issuance of the credential. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver license. REQUIRED: Active RN or LVN license in California. Two (2) years of nursing experience (RN, LVN). One (1) of the two years must be as a licensed nurse providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting. AND one of the following: One (1) year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing. OR Twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing (submit course certificate or transcript) completed within six (6) months of employment and prior to teaching a certification program. Courses must be approved by the Board of Registered Nursing or administered by an accredited educational institution.</p> <p>All application materials must be submitted with a VCOE application as a complete package. A complete application package must include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Credential Copy (Designated Subjects Credential in Nursing Services) </li><li>Letter of Introduction </li><li>Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 letters dated within the last 18 months [LETTERS MUST BE SIGNED AND DATED]) </li><li>Resume </li></ul> <p>Requirements / Qualifications</p> <p>Comments and Other Information</p> <p>Please note Superintendent Policy # 3521.1 Letters of Recommendation: Ventura County Office of Education letterhead and/or the name of the Office are not to be used by employees in providing letters of recommendation or other types of endorsement without the express review and approval of the Superintendent or appropriate branch Associate Superintendent.
