<p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable temporary Human Resources Assistant to support day-to-day HR operations. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in human resources. You'll assist with administrative tasks, employee recordkeeping, onboarding, and general support for the HR team.</p> <p>This is a temporary part-time, hourly position.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and update employee records and HR databases </li><li>Assist with the onboarding process, including collecting forms and scheduling orientations </li><li>Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings and scheduling interviews </li><li>Help coordinate employee training sessions and maintain training records </li><li>Respond to basic employee inquiries or direct them to the appropriate HR staff </li><li>File and organize HR documents, both physical and digital </li><li>Assist with employee engagement and wellness initiatives </li><li>Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's required; Bachelor's degree preferred (in HR or related field preferred) </li><li>0-2 years of experience in an office or administrative setting (HR experience a plus) </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion </li></ul> <p>Preferred Traits:</p> <ul> <li>Willingness to learn and grow within the HR field </li><li>Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset </li><li>Customer service-focused approach to employee interactions </li></ul> <p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p> <p>Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly pay for this position is $18.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>New Jersey Sick Leave: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.) </li><li>Employee Assistance Program provides free, confidential, limited counseling services, work-life assistance, legal and financial guidance. </li><li>Commuter Benefits: Free parking access is provided on site.
