This team works closely with all CBMS stakeholders to understand their needs, put together plans to meet those needs, work with various teams to implement those needs, and verify that those needs are met successfully. This team facilitates 12-24-month plans with each CBMS Program Area, oversees release management, and provides in-depth User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that product enhancements meet business requirements. </p> <p>We are onboarding new employees using a hybrid approach. The Department supports flexible work arrangements. Depending on the business need and description of the position, we have options that range from fully remote, hybrid, to full-time in the office. Specific discussions about the schedule will be discussed during the offer stage. </p> <p>Please note - equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment. </p> <p>HCPF welcomes your application to the Tester I position. The Tester I is responsible for conducting activities during the system test phase of the software development lifecycle. This includes planning and executing system tests based on adherence to requirements, identifying and managing test data, and identifying, and managing software defects. </p> <p> </p> <p>Additional duties include, but are not limited to: </p> <ul> <li>Creating test plans for simple to moderately complex projects. </li><li>Executing functional and regression test cases as well as performance and security test cases. </li><li>Creating and maintaining requirements traceability matrices. </li><li>Identifying test data required for projects. </li><li>Creating and updating automated scripts for existing and new functionality. </li><li>Coordinating with Project Managers and Business Analysts throughout the testing process to ensure correct reporting information is relayed. </li><li>Following process for system test and user acceptance test. </li><li>Establishing effective communications with development teams for defect management. </li><li>Documenting defects and their resolution. </li><li>Monitoring the management of defects. </li><li>Determining when a valid defect has occurred, how to communicate it, or if it needs to be escalated for analysis or repair. </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>Six years of professional experience in working with CBMS or performing systems testing.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment; AND two years of professional experience in working with CBMS or performing systems testing.</p> <p>Substitutions:</p> <p>Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior state experience related to the duties of this position</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with CBMS</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with HealthFirst, SNAP, or Adult Financial benefits</p> </li></ul> <p>DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Work that involves exercising discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, and sharing an organized body of knowledge that characteristically is uniquely acquired through an intense education or training regimen at a recognized college or university; equivalent to the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's or higher degree with major study in or pertinent to the specialized field; and continuously studied to explore, extend, and use additional discoveries, interpretations, and application and to improve data, materials, equipment, applications and methods. </p> <p>CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT</p> <ul> <li> <p>All positions at HCPF are security sensitive positions and require that the individuals undergo a criminal record background check as a condition of employment.</p> </li><li> <p>Employees who have been disciplinary terminated, resigned in lieu of disciplinary termination, or negotiated their termination from the State of Colorado must disclose this information on the application.</p> </li><li> <p>May require travel to locations in the metro area periodically, and locations across the state occasionally. </p> </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>APPEAL RIGHTS:</p> <p>If you receive notice that you have been eliminated from consideration for this position, you may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board or request a review by the State Personnel Director.</p> <p>An appeal or review must be submitted on the official appeal form, signed by you or your representative.
