<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily activities related to branch operations and product processing within the company. This Operations manager will lead and be responsible for improving efficiencies in all Manufacturing processes and Welding operations within the facility. The role involves supervising operations to ensure the efficiency and quality of processes.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Process Improvement: Lead and be responsible for improving efficiencies in all Manufacturing processes and Welding operations </li><li>Developing Business Plans: Create and maintain operational plans, considering labor hours, cycles, costs, and program requirements </li><li>Establishing Standards: Work with the Director of Quality to set processing and quality control standards, budgets, and cost controls </li><li>Process Planning: Provide guidance in developing plans for staffing, materials, subcontracting, facilities, and equipment </li><li>Meeting Commitments: Ensure the organization meets cost, quality, and delivery standards </li><li>Coordinating Operations: Collaborate with other departments to optimize resource utilization (human, machine, and equipment) </li><li>Monitoring Reports: Review operational reports to address processing and maintenance issues and minimize costs </li><li>Safety Program: Collaborate with the Director of Safety to create and implement programs that reduce accidents and injuries </li><li>Employee Training: Ensure compliance with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year institution or work-related experience </li><li>7+ years of management experience in a metals service center, or a similar environment </li><li>Welding experience in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Strong engineering knowledge </li><li>Manufacturing experience and understanding of efficient layout and process flow </li><li>Lean / Six Sigma experience </li><li>Experience in metals processing/distribution </li><li>Strong leadership, motivation, and interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Process management expertise </li><li>Problem-solving abilities </li><li>Capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>This position is performed in a warehouse and an office setting. While in the warehouse you may experience loud noises and temperature fluctuations depending on the season.</p>
