<p>EARN UP TO A $1,000 RECRUITING BONUS ($500 AFTER 90 DAYS AND $500 AFTER 6 MONTHS)</p> <p>2nd Shift Twister Operator (Mon-Fri 4:00pm - 12:00am)</p> <p>Who we are looking for:</p> <p>We are currently looking for a 2nd Shift Twister Operator to be based out of New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Twister Operator will be responsible for operating machine/set of machines, which includes set up, operation, inspection and adjustment of large machinery. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing simple or routine set-ups, operating computer console as needed, using simple measurement instruments to check work, completion of necessary paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>Twister Operator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Read and comprehend production Standard Work, all safety procedures, and Maintenance instructions. </li><li>Operate and observe machinery during production. </li><li>Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality to customer requirements and quality standards. </li><li>Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals </li><li>All associates must embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence. </li></ul> <p>What you'll bring:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>The ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English. </li><li>Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations. </li><li>Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization. </li><li>Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected event in a calm and logical manner. </li><li>Must be able work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Must be able to lift, pull, or push at least 50 lbs. </li><li>Must be willing to work overtime as needed to support production requirements </li><li>The ability to align with our core values - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence. </li></ul> <p>Within 3 months, you'll:</p> <ul> <li>Complete any required training. </li><li>Have developed relationships within the department. </li><li>Be well-versed in priorities and the importance of your role to daily operations. </li></ul> <p>Who we are:</p> <p>Atkore is a five-time Great Place to Work certified company and a three-time Top Workplaces USA award winner!
