<p>Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and optimize programs for progressive machining operations. This role involves working hands-on to enhance current processes while introducing new fixturing and tooling concepts.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Program CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal lathes and mills. </li><li>Estimate potential machining projects from prints and specifications. </li><li>Create fixture designs and tooling lists for upcoming projects. </li><li>Mount and secure tooling and holding fixtures, set stops, and calibrate fixtures to appropriate reference points, with a comprehensive understanding of Renishaw probing. </li><li>Manually cycle through operation sequences to check fixtures, work positions, tooling, clearance, and speed/feeds through the first piece approval process. </li><li>Develop and maintain setup checklists and instructions for operators. </li><li>Diagnose operating challenges and improve cycle times for current programs. </li><li>Make periodic operation checks to assure proper machining operations, recommending process improvements as needed. </li><li>Adjust machines to correct deviations and ensure tolerances within specifications. </li><li>Study operations and equipment used in the production process, recommending new methods and equipment to increase efficiency. </li><li>Read and understand drawings and dimensional reports from CMM. </li><li>Use a variety of precision measuring instruments. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in CNC programming, particularly with Fanuc G-Code. </li><li>Experience in fixture design and machining. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensional reports. </li><li>Familiarity with precision measuring instruments. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in SolidWorks. </li><li>3+ years of experience designing fixtures and molds. </li><li>Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement. </li><li>Familiarity with foundry, machine shop, automation, and casting environments. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in a machine shop/foundry environment. The setting can become warm during summer months, and candidates should be comfortable with this. The nature of the work may result in getting a little dirty, so wearing white is not recommended.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $50.48/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
