<p>Experience & Requirements</p> <p>YesCare Nurse Practitioners provide direct care to inmates in the correctional institution and provide emergency care to staff.</p> <p>This position is weekends only from 8:00 P.M. - 8:30 A.M (Saturday and Sunday). Candidate will be paid for 40hrs/wk and will be eligible for full-time benefits.</p> <ul> <li>Provides appropriate health care to inmates </li><li>Diagnoses and treats inmates within his/her scope of practice </li><li>Performs routine history and physical (H&P) examinations where applicable </li><li>Orders and, if necessary, performs laboratory studies, X-rays, examinations, and electrocardiograms, as appropriate </li><li>Initiates consultation requests and non-formulary request with supervisory physician's approval </li><li>Educates inmates relative to medical conditions, use of drugs, diet, weight control, effects of prescribed treatment, etc. </li><li>Documents all patient contacts in medical record using Problem Oriented Medical Record format and SOAP charting </li><li>Maintains confidentiality of medical records </li><li>Orders medications while adhering to the established formulary </li><li>Participates in the data collection of the CQI program and participates in the CQI committee, as needed </li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited program </li><li>Holds a current license to practice in the state where facility is located </li><li>Certified or eligible for certification in the scope of practice </li><li>Competent to perform responsibilities as defined by state's practice act </li><li>Maintains current CPR certificate </li></ul> <p>#INDPA</p> <p>About YesCare Health</p> <p>As the correctional healthcare pioneer and leader for 40 years,YesCare provides client partners with high quality healthcare and reentry services that will improve the health and safety of our patients, break the cycle of recidivism and better the communities where we live and work.</p>
