Join our team where you'll make an impact while contributing to the development and implementation of the systems and infrastructure needed to efficiently deliver energy services to our valued customers</p> <p>.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>: Perform duties under general supervision that involve receiving, checking, inspecting, recording, storing and issuing new, returned and reclaimed stores material, supplies and equipment; issue, track, inspect and perform minor repairs on tools as assigned.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Receive, check, inspect for breakage and apparent defects; identify, count, weigh, sort, store and issue new, returned and reclaimed stores material, tools, supplies and equipment from all sources in accordance with specified procedures and complete related papers; make recommendations and suggestions for improvement. </li><li>Inspect tools for proper operation; make minor repairs to return to proper operating condition. If non-repairable, remove tool from service and prepare necessary documents to secure a replacement. </li><li>Operate the Materials Management System (MMS) computer terminal and other office machines such as adding machines and calculators. </li><li>Operate material handling equipment such as overhead crane, lift trucks, automotive and other stores equipment as assigned. </li><li>Cut off metal stock such as bars, tubes, rods and other metals in stock for issue. </li><li>Perform physical inventories of material and supplies, capitalized spare parts, tools and exempt material as assigned. </li><li>Load, unload, pack, unpack, stock, move, count, weigh, sort and arrange equipment, tools and supplies in bins, shelves and storage areas. </li><li>Prepare stores documents as required with accurate and appropriate data. </li><li>Drive company vehicles and pickup and deliver freight, express, parcel post, supplies, material and equipment from and to manufacturers, dealers, agencies and other company locations. </li><li>Maintain equipment, tools and work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition. </li><li>Perform all duties in accordance with company's safety rules, operating regulations and practices and report unsafe conditions and practices. </li><li>Train for and carry out assignments in firefighting, first aid, and other emergency response programs as required. </li><li>Report irregularities and abnormal conditions to the appropriate supervision. </li><li>Instruct and direct the work of employees assigned to assist. </li><li>Assist in the training of other employees as required. </li><li>Assist employees as required. </li><li>Assist in performing necessary stores quality control functions as required. </li><li>Perform similar or less skilled work. </li></ul> <p>What we are looking for:</p> <p>Education: High School Degree or equivalent education (GED).</p> <p>Experience: Must be able to pass an examination, if required, and in addition: Must have a minimum of eighteen months or 3,120 hours of experience as a Stores Attendant-Jr or equivalent. Through a combination of education and/or experience, must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above, and have the physical capabilities to perform the required work. Must have mechanical aptitude. Ability to write legibly and record accurately. Must understand and perform basic math functions. Must possess the appropriate State driver's license.</p> <p>What You'll Get:</p> <p>Stores Attendant (N005-500) Step 1- $31.48 per hour</p> <p>In addition to a competitive compensation, AEP offers a unique comprehensive benefits package that aims to support and enhance the overall well-being of our employees.</p> <p>Compensation Data</p> <p>Compensation Grade:</p> <p>N005-500</p> <p>Compensation Range:</p> <p>$31.48-33.92 USD</p> <p>The Physical Demand Level for this job is: H - Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
