<p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> <p>Health Unit Assistant</p> <p>Part Time Days - 7am - 7:30pm</p> <p>Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital</p> <p>Performs administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area. Responsibilities: Greets patients, visitors, and new admissions. Answers general inquiries and schedules patients for appointments. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.| Performs general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution. Creates various reports and documents as assigned. Helps patients/residents with basic technology and social media.| Communicates with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care.| Performs unit safety checks. Assists with meeting patient needs and escalates as appropriate.| May assist with meals, pass and collect trays, pass out activities, and transport patients/residents through facility.
