A well-qualified, right-fit candidate will join the existing team of full-time faculty and in fulfilling the program's commitment to lead our students to become competent, compassionate, and comprehensive Physician Assistants. The new Adjunct Faculty member will participate in the educational and administrative aspects of the program, including didactic instruction, student assessment activities, and course assessment activities. The South College Nashville PA Program provides faculty with consistent, dependable administrative support and opportunities for professional growth.</p> <p>Responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Administer instruction and student assessments related to assigned course(s). </li><li>Curriculum development, delivery, and assessment (for assigned courses). </li><li>Active mentoring of PA students throughout assigned courses. </li><li>Acting as a course director or and/or co-instructor as is appropriate (for assigned courses), in support of didactic and/or clinical instruction of PA students </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a Masters in a Biological or Medical Sciences Discipline. </li><li>If a PA or Physician, graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Medical School: non-clinicians do not have a licensing requirement. </li><li>Doctorate in a Biological or Medical Sciences Discipline Preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Non-clinician applicants must demonstrate validity to provide graduate medical education instruction by providing an official transcript showing (Master or Doctorate) degree completion and verifiable evidence of past teaching experience. </li><li>Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience as a PA or Physician, if a clinician. </li><li>Teaching experience in a graduate medical education program is highly desired. </li></ul> <p>Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Current and valid NCCPA Certification for Physician Assistants; Tennessee licensure, or eligibility </li><li>Tennessee licensure, or eligibility for licensure, required for Physicians. </li></ul>
