<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Based on John Muir Health Nursing's Vision of being the innovative leader for the professional role of the registered nurse. Through evidence-based practices and relevant patient care models, the nursing culture will create a compassionate healing environment, ensure interdisciplinary collaboration and foster professional growth and satisfaction. The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>1 year - Nursing - Acute Care - Required </li></ul> <p>Certifications/Licensures:</p> <ul> <li> <p>RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required</p> </li><li> <p>BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required</p> </li><li> <p>ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association - Required</p> </li><li> <p>PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support - American Heart Association - Required or</p> </li><li> <p>ENPC Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course - Emergency Nurses Association - Required</p> </li><li> <p>Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test - Must Pass at time of hire (Required if hired after 11/15/2018) - Required</p> </li><li> <p>NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Certification - Achieved by the end of orientation to the assigned area Required</p> </li><li> <p>NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Competency - Successful completion on an annual basis Required</p> </li><li> <p>Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test - Internal Candidates Must Pass Prior to Applying for Position (must be proctored in Human Resources) - Required</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <p>Training:</p> <ul> <li> <p>In addition to minimum Certifications/Licensures, must meet these additional requirements:</p> </li><li> <p>Previous Emergency Department cross-trained experience within the last 2 years or</p> </li><li> <p>Hold certification as an Emergency Nurse (CEN) or</p> </li><li> <p>Successful completion of an Emergency Nursing training program.</p> </li><li> <p>Must meet non-core clinical qualifications within 12 months.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Shift:</p> <p>12.0 - 07:00 - 20:00 No Waive (United States of America)</p> <p>Pay Range:</p> <p>$77.04 - $104.97</p> <p>Hourly</p> <p>Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.</p> <p>Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.</p> <p>Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours:</p> <p>36</p>
