<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Performs Foundational Paint Detail Operations for Overall Exterior Aircraft Surfaces and Removable Parts</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):</p> <p>Obtains/Reads/Interprets/Comprehends Process Documentation at Latest Revision to Perform Task Assignments</p> <p>Seeks Guidance As Needed</p> <p>Locate, Reference, and Utilize Work Orders and Reference Data Using Computer System to Ensure Compliance with Processes, and Accurately Document/Record All Traceability Requirements and Process Data</p> <p>Maintains All Equipment Before, During, and After Use, as Required, and Performs Preventative Maintenance on Equipment as Defined per Process</p> <p>Maintains a Neat, Orderly, and Safe Work Environment, Cleaning Up After Each Operation and/or Shift</p> <p>Understands and Places Importance Upon Their Individual Contribution to Aircraft Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule, and Customer Satisfaction</p> <p>Identifies and corrects paint defects, such as rough edges, inclusions, tape residue, overspray, etc. using industry standard methods and means, masking to protect the surrounding areas during defect correction processes</p> <p>Touches up sealant, screws, and panel edges ensuring the areas are smooth, uniform, and consistent</p> <p>Corrects Paint QC Squawks and Details Wings</p> <p>Learns DFJ Quality Standards, learns to mix and apply all sealants, primers, fillers, paints, and anti-erosion materials for touch-up and repair, learns to detail Belly, Engines, and Fuselage, learns to correct Cosmetic Inspection Squawks</p> <p>NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):</p> <p>Other Duties as Assigned</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>2 Years Paint Experience</p> <p>High School Diploma or Equivalent</p> <p>Ability and Competency To:</p> <p>Read, Speak, Write, Understand, and Communicate Effectively in English</p> <p>Follow Written and Verbal Instructions</p> <p>Perform Repetitive Movements and Work Overhead</p> <p>Work on Upper Aircraft at Heights Greater Than 10 Feet</p> <p>Use Mechanical Sanders, Buffers, Spray Equipment, Common Hand Tools, etc.</p> <p>Pass Pulmonary Function Test; Obtain and Maintain Respirator Clearance With Facial Hair Restriction</p> <p>Ability and Commitment to:</p> <p>Wear All PPE as Required</p> <p>Prioritize Safety of Self, Others, and Aircraft</p> <p>Intermediate Knowledge of How to Use Mechanical Sanders, Buffers, Spray Equipment, Common Hand Tools, etc.</p> <p>Above Average Attention to Detail</p> <p>Ability to work with and around various adhesives, paints, resins, and other paint materials.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Aerospace Paint Experience is Preferred</p> <p>Scissor/Boom Lift Certification</p> <p>Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing and Quality Assurance Principles</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Climate-Controlled / Hangars, with Occasional Work Outside</p> <p>Involves Exposure to Chemical and Dust Levels Set by OSHA Standards</p> <p>Lift/Hold/Carry/Push/Pull 25 Pounds With/Without Reasonable Accommodation for Extended Periods</p> <p>Physical/Muscular Dexterity To:</p> <p>Walk/Climb/Stand/Kneel/Crouch/Work Overhead for Extended Periods While Working on Aircraft</p> <p>Repeatedly Ascend/Descend Scaffolds, Ladders, Steps, Stands, and Other Related Equipment With/Without Reasonable Accommodation</p> <p>Complies with OSHA and Company Safety Standards and procedures</p> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>The compensation for this position typically falls between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for a shift differential.
