<p>Anticipated: 0.5 Basic Skills Instructor JobID: 488</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>4/23/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Bayberry School</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Anticipated Opening .5 Basic Skills Teacher</p> <ul> <li>Provide support to students who are struggling with core academic skills like reading, writing, and math to help these students reach grade-level standards and achieve academic success. </li><li>Develop instructional goals and specific instructional objectives for each student selected for remedial teaching. </li><li>Plan class activities and lesson presentations that are age-appropriate for the student or group of students, and that meet the individual needs, interests and ability levels of all pupils. </li><li>Monitor pupil academic progress and personal growth toward stated objectives of instruction. </li><li>Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure student success. </li><li>Ability to maintain a positive learning environment </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Attends parent communication activities (i.e., Back to School Night, conferences). </li><li>In accordance with prescribed state and federal law as well as with administrative procedures, informs parents of placement in the Basic Skills Program. </li><li>Provides progress reports on students assigned to the program to both classroom teacher and parents as required. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>NJ Elementary Education Certification- Required</p> <p>NJ Certification in Teacher of Student with the Disabled -Preferred</p> <p>Reading Specialist Certification a plus</p> <p>Five + years of teaching K-4 ELA and Math - Preferred</p> <p>Multi Sensory Reading Instruction experience a plus</p> <p>Experience providing targeted instruction, individualized support, and differentiated learning experiences- Required</p> <p>Effective: July 1, 2025</p> <p>Salary: per WBEA Contract</p> <p>Pending Budgetary Approval</p>
