This position involves developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies to foster current students' interest in remaining involved at Normandale following graduation or transfer, and to promote alumni involvement in and contributions to the college's activities, events, and initiatives. Alumni engagement is a critical strategic component in helping the college improve diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as practiced through non-academic volunteer activities that support college programs. It's also a pathway to growing the Foundation's donor base, increasing its impact on college initiatives that foster student success.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include developing and managing an alumni program that uses targeted messaging to current students and alumni, informing them of opportunities to get involved at Normandale and strengthening their connection to the college. This position collaborates with college departments, student clubs, the Foundation, and external partners to publicize ways to get involved on campus, and to implement alumni activities, including events. The Alumni Engagement Specialist maintains a current database of alumni, tracks their engagement, and adjusts strategy for continuous improvement.</p> <p>YOUR QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Essential:</p> <ul> <li>Two years of experience in communicating with volunteers and engaging them in activities, events, and initiatives that support organizational goals, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience, a bachelor's degree may substitute for 12 months of experience, and an associate's degree for 6 months.
