Our team is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of end-to-end processes supporting U.S. Regulatory Reporting including Consolidated, Capital, Standalone and CCAR/DFAST/ICAAP reporting, along with Regulatory Reporting training and regulatory exam management. Additionally, FRRA drives broader strategic initiatives across external reporting including accountability, error and issue management, manual adjustments, variance analysis, quality assurance and the target U.S. Regulatory Reporting platform.</p> <p>As an External Reporting Controller - Vice President within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis team, your primary responsibilities will involve overseeing multiple aspects of the production and review of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports filed with various regulatory agencies.</p> <p>Job responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Identify gaps in current reporting processes and lead the implementation of new controls and strategic solutions to ensure the integrity of reported financial results </li><li>Lead strategic initiatives and ongoing improvements in reporting processes </li><li>Establish and manage relationships, partnerships and dialogue with a variety of stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization </li><li>Maintain familiarity with accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements. Participate in firm wide project groups to implement changes in reporting requirements </li><li>Work extended hours during peak periods including some weekends </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:</p> <ul> <li>5 years total relevant work experience in External Reporting (SEC reporting/Reg Reporting) </li><li>Demonstrable understanding of financial statements and financial disclosures required </li><li>Bachelors Degree required </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral </li><li>Comfortable working with large quantities of data, including strong reconciliation and process management experience </li><li>Strong technical skills in Excel </li><li>Strong analytical skills in interpretation of data and identification of anomalies </li><li>Independent worker who is self-motivated; comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment </li><li>Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:</p> <ul> <li>Accounting or Finance degree preferred </li><li>Accounting or banking industry experience preferred </li><li>Familiarity with US Banking regulatory reporting requirements a plus </li><li>Experience using data management & visualization tools in a reporting setting: AWS Databricks, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Visio, database experience </li><li>Familiarity with JP Morgan's Corporate Financial Architecture (SAP, Smartview, CDGL) a plus </li><li>CPA / Big 4 Experience a plus </li><li>Prior experience with team management </li></ul>
