The TSM is responsible for achieving measurable annual growth within the territory, conducting end user education and training, and providing responsive customer service. Respective territory will be Texas along with CA, OR, WA, NV, ID, MT, WY, UT, AZ, CO, NM, ND, SD, NE, KS, and OK. Ideal candidate would live in Texas, preferably the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.</p> <p>The Territory Sales Manager will:</p> <ul> <li>Service existing sales accounts, prospect for new opportunities and generate new business within assigned territory. Meet sales and profit goals while adhering to the sales and marketing plan and corporate policies. </li><li>Develop and maintain the skills and expertise needed to establish a reputation as a credible and competent solution provider. </li><li>Prepare sales forecasts as requested for use in planning and for controlling customers' inventories. </li><li>Maintain documentation of sales contracts, sales opportunities, and proposals through use of the company CRM in accordance with records retention policy. </li><li>Conduct "voice of the customer" research to recommend new products and product enhancements. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive products and technical developments that affect target markets. </li><li>Develop and maintain the skills and expertise needed to establish a reputation as a credible and competent solution provider. </li><li>Maintain daily communication with Vice President of Sales and Marketing. </li><li>Submit weekly sales report to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. </li><li>Establish and maintain a consistent and professional corporate image throughout all communications, actions, activities, promotional materials and events. </li><li>Plan, organize and attend product demonstrations, trade shows, and sales meetings. </li><li>Adhere to all company policies, procedures and code of business ethics. </li><li>Attend all product demonstrations, trade shows, and sales meetings requested by the company. </li></ul> <p>The ideal candidate will have/be:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with customer relations, prospecting, needs assessment and proposal writing. </li><li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills essential. </li><li>Superior presentation, strategic thinking and negotiation skills. </li><li>Strong organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and employees. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills at both a strategic and functional level. </li><li>Must possess the ability to manage a challenging workload with multiple deadlines with minimal supervision. </li><li>Proficient in use of personal computing devices including productivity software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM Software. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret product specifications, bid solicitations, and other technical documents. </li><li>Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the sales department. </li><li>Ability to persuade and influence others. </li><li>Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques. </li><li>Required to maintain a professional appearance and positive image to the public. </li><li>Ability for significant travel to current and potential customers. Must be and remain in compliance with the company's Authorized Driver Policy. </li><li>Willingness to work a flexible schedule and frequent overnight travel. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>Minimum 3+ years of progressive sales experience with related products or in similar field is preferred. Prior experience with truck equipment and industrial machinery a plus.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Standing, walking and some lifting while traveling and attending trade shows and demonstrations. Occasionally exposed to a combination of dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise in shop environment. Work requires significant travel and may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.</p>
